New York Courts: Colonie Justice Court in Albany County

Colonie Justice Court has jurisdiction over traffic violations such as speeding tickets and misdemeanors such as petit larceny occurring within the Town of Colonie, New York. Colonie Justice Court also has preliminary jurisdiction over felonies occurring within the Town of Colonie, New York.

Colonie Justice Court is located in the Public Safety Building at 312 Wolf Road, Latham, New York, 12110-4814. The telephone number for the Colonie Justice Court is 518-7983-2714.

Colonie Justice Court has three judges: Honorable Peter G. Crummey, Honorable Andrew Sommers and Honorable Susan Tatro. Each of the judges is a lawyer.

Julie Gansle is the Colonie Justice Court Clerk. The Colonie Justice Court Clerk’s office window is open Monday through Friday 8:30 A.M to 4:00 P.M. The Colonie Justice Court Clerk’s Office accepts telephone calls Monday through Friday 8:30 A.M to 4:30 P.M.

Colonie Justice Court has two courtrooms: the large courtroom and the small courtroom. Traffic Court is held each Monday in the large courtroom starting at 6:00 P.M. Traffic trials are held each Tuesday in the small courtroom starting at 8:30 a.m. Misdemeanor cases and alcohol related offenses are handled each Monday in the small courtroom starting at 6:00P.M. Criminal cases are also handled each Wednesday in the small courtroom starting at 6:00 P.M.

Criminal cases are handled by the Albany County District Attorney’s Office. Traffic violation cases are handled by Senior Colonie Town Attorney Danielle DeMers, Esq.
